1. Insanity

It was common knowledge that Xemnas was going insane but it was too much fun to listen to him talk to Kingdom Hearts than to confront him about it.

2. Smile

“C’mon, lil’ cutie, smile pretty for ol’ Xig.”  Namine had to smile as the camera flash went off simply because she knew the photo would be upside down when it developed.

3. Hero

A hero isn’t just some guy running in to save the day on a white horse, Zexion thought as he looked up from his book, his gaze resting on the hulking form of Lexaeus silently sipping a cup of tea in the corner.

4. Cat

“Demyx, why is your hood purring?” Vexen reached out and yanked the nocturne’s hood down. Demyx only smiled meagerly as the tiny white kitten resting atop his head mewed sweetly.

“Um…she followed me home?”

5. Dreams

Nobodies dream though most of them won’t admit to it. Axel has dreams every night. Dreams of elephants and acrobats, of fire and ice, glass spheres and juggling.

In these dreams he sees her, beautiful and cold, softly playing a sweet tune on her flute. He dreams of a grinning redhead smoking cigarettes while reclining on a pile of hay while a friend shows off a picture of his fiancé. These dreams Axel enjoys, a smile creeping across his face as he sleeps.

It’s the nightmares he forces himself to forget. The woman’s terrified scream, the slicing of metal across flesh, the soft gurgle coming from the engaged man’s lips as he slumps to the floor. There’s more screaming, pleading from his lover, begging him to stop and telling him that what he’d seen wasn’t what it seemed. He slaps her. There’s silence and the crackling of a burning fire.

Axel hates dreaming.

6. Two Roads

Often Xaldin wondered how things would have been different had Dilan not gone to the lab that day when the accident happened. How would things have been different? Would he of fled Hollow Bastion to seek out a new world to call home? Would he of found someone to love? Would he continue his research? Would Dilan of mourned for his friends and never knowing, in a way, they lived on?

'Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—' With a flick of his hand a dark portal opened to Beast’s castle. 'Should have taken the one less traveled…for it would have made all the difference.'

7. Seeing Red

Roxas woke up seeing red.

“Axel, get off.”

8. In the Storm

“Xaldin and Larxene made up again.” Saix said in a flat tone as he watched the storm rage outside his window.

9. Fairy Tale

“I never liked fairy tales.” Zexion murmured and slammed shut a thick book, seeming to disregard the faint, anguished screams of pain emitting from the volume.

10. Heal

When he sliced his hand on a broken beaker, it was Namine who was there to bandage him up. Her sweet face was smiling as she reassured him that it wasn’t bad but to have Vexen take a look just in case. He nodded. She smiled and pressed a comforting kiss to his bandaged finger.

It was the first time Repliku blushed.
